Chestnut

Budded or grafted trees will bear quite young (3-4 years). Mature height 4-5m.

NO. 1005
This is the variety most sought after for commercial plantings. Slower maturing than No. 1002 or No. 1015, but the first to drop its crop each season. Nuts fall free of the burr and are medium to large in size. A more self-fertile variety.
